James Armstrong
A second-generation filmmaker and stunt professional, James Armstrong was raised on movie sets alongside his father, legendary stunt coordinator and second unit director Andy Armstrong, and uncle, Vic Armstrong.
Growing up around large-scale productions across the world gave him an early hands-on education in action filmmaking that continues to shape his work 20+ years later.
James has built a career spanning stunt performance, stunt coordination and directing. His recent credits include work across major studio films and television productions on high-profile action projects.
Before transitioning fully into stunts and action filmmaking, James worked as an Assistant Director, giving him a strong production foundation that carries into his directing and coordination style. In addition to his stunt action & design work, he has directed episodic television for the AMC network with international reach.
Holding dual American and British citizenship, James works internationally and brings a filmmaker’s eye to action-driven storytelling, combining practical stunt experience with directing and second unit expertise.
